if cleaning with soap and water only.

You can, but it is not recommended as dull spots can occur on some
stones.

Can you cut on granite?
A.
Again, you can but it is not recommended as you will do more harm
to your knives.

Can granite be repaired if it chips?
A.
Not all damages can be fixed, but the majority can. Repairs have
come a long way and with the right people almost anything is possible.

Where does my granite come from?
A.
That depends on the color that you choose - granite colors are indigenous
to the country where it is formed. The best way to find out is the
sales representitive that is helping you or through the internet.

What is engineered quartz?
A.
It is a natural stone quartz that has been ground up and has an
epoxy resin added to it. Sheets are formed consisting of 93% stone
and 7% epoxy resin.
Q.
What is better: quartz or granite?
A.
As a surface, quartz is rated number one because it is non-porous
and therefore requires no maintenance. That said, granite will always
be completely unique because it is a natural stone and for some
people that can't be beat.
